Dad caught one slightly bigger that night. Six walleye in one night (while striper fishing) is the best walleye night we have had. 100 posts...look out Nitro and Deerslayer, here I come.

Two nice fish!
I ate striper for the first time this Spring and rank it right up there with trout as my favorite.
I gotta have the Zatarain's Crispy Southern Style fish fry though. That stuff is great and I'm probably the reason Food City never has any.......I buy all they have when they get it in.
Just keep posting, you might just catch me. ;D

My favorite fresh water fish to eat in order:
Walleye, crappie, striper. But, with the amount of meat you get out of stipers that almost puts them #1.
I'll have to try the batter.

My wife and I just got back from the Lake. This is the first time she has been able to fish with me in about 3 years. We (she) managed to catch a couple of small ones and one 32" and about 11# in between the thunderstorms. That was her second biggest striper ever.  |

Hell, I had replied... Where'd it go?? Anywho, nice fish man. Thanks. Dad and I should get to fish again tomorrow and Wed. Working on the weekends does have one good benefit. I get to fish midweek when there is a little less boat traffic. |

Nice fish Thunder. I would love to catch some of those stripers. I feel the same way after this last trip.  Just when you think you have something figured out. LOL Not much to report....a few throwback stripers and a channel cat. We did see several turkeys though. |

I have nothing to report. It's been very busy here and I won't be able to fish until mid Aug. when I'm around the Lake for work.
