Hi, I am new to this site and just found this thread and thought I would you know a little about her. She is a Bavarian Mountain Hound. They are breed for tracking wounded game. She is from Poland and at this time there are only about 15 in the country . They are used a lot by Forresters and game managers across Europe to track down wounded animals.

Cully, BGH posted intructions in the photo forum. Hopefully that will help you. It looks complicated but it's pretty easy after you do it once or twice.

I got a new yellow lab pup that if he is still around come deer season I am gonna try and train to track wounded deer. He has all the makings of a great dog including trying my patiance to the end before we finally come to a mutal agreement and he lets me think I'm in control.

I have a 4 year old yellow lab who is a great pheasant dog, and a female chocolat pup that is three months old. She should be ready to start retrieving pigeons, and hen pheasants by mid fall. It's gonna be a busy fall!!!

Stay on 'em Birddog. My dog is the only hunting partner I've ever had who showed up ready to hunt and never complained about the cold, the heat, or the lack of targets or shooting skills.
I train my brit on pen raised quail (when available) and homing pigeons. Those pigeons are great for training steady.
