I was going to post a question about the Grim Reapers asking how well they performed. I guess that answers my question.

Magnus stingers. I decided to step away from the mechanicals and go for a more traditional 2 bladed head. Ive had pretty good luck with them so far. Both deer I shot with them were shot in fields though so the blood has been hard to find.

Muzzy Phantoms 100 gr.
Question for mechanical users.
Is there any truth to the idea that mechanicals may not function right if you hit a deer at an angle, say a quartering away shot??
Thanks.

I havent had that happen with the Vortex heads and I have taken shots that went in behind the shoulder and came out right infront of the rear leg.

Miss Mustang, I have found no truth to that what so ever. I beleive alot of it depends on the speed of the bow you are shooting. The slower bows might have issues withit but the I would suggest going to a Rocket head. They open very easily and have a wide range of heads to chose from.

Spitfires for the past several years. I said I would never go back to fixed but after seeing how well the Magnus Stingers performed on that hog I shot last year I may have to give them a try on deer.
