Since everybody seems split on this I thought we would put a poll up and see what the results will be.

i use them but i hate them , i posted a topic on here last year griping about them. after i couldnt do anything with them, i started shooting the hornady sabot w/ 200 gr XTP bullet. they grouped great but i couldnt get them within 8 in. of the bullseye. so i went back to the powerbelts, they dont group at all, but that first shot is dead on@ 100 yrds. ill clean it like im ready to store it, swab the barrel and shoot again, and its dead on. but if i shoot and swab and shoot again, i might as well be throwing them. the buck i posted this season was taken with the powerbelt, dead center of the shoulder where i was aiming @ 80yrds. the bullet lodged in the opposite shoulder and i managed to get it. i'll post a pick of the bullet

maybe i can help all here. here in pa. the powerbelts are going over big.i have 50cal hawkins t/c 1-48 twist.it shoots them better than any conical i have shot.the best bullet is 295 gr one, hollow point.80 or 85 grs of 2f goex.i use the unjacked ones as they are cheaper. my best bullet is maxi-ball in the 370 gr with 80 grs of 2f. stay away from those maxi-hunters in a 1-48 twist. they are awful. you can get 20 unlubed maxi -balls for 6 dollars.i know muzz if anyone needs help, take care

We need a Fifth choice ............ "Tolerate Them".
I get very acceptable groups with them out of my Knight, but not the best compared to the Hornady SSTs or Precision Rifle QTs. But I didn't care for how the aerotip performed on game though, so I use the PowerBelts as my quick backup shots.

I have used powerbelt's in both 45 caliber and 50 caliber what I have found is that generally the heavier Bullets will shoot more accurately. In 45 caliber I shot the 195, 225 and 275gr.@200 yards the 275 gr. consistently give a better group. A friend of mine has two 50-caliber in-line's the black diamond and the Winchester apex with three 50 gr. pellets; both of them shoot extremely well with the 348 gr. powerbelt. Over the chronograph the velocity of the apex was averaging 1830 fps.

i shoot the 295 gr power belts out of my blackdiamond inline they are deadly shot a nice deer the first year at 175 yards used 2-50 grain 50/50 pellets in it like most bullets you have to ajust the powder and the shell for good peformance goodluck in your shooting

I don't love em or hate em really, but I haven't gotten them to group in my Knight .50 as well as Barnes sabots. Just my gun. Best I've done is about 2" at 50 yards. They are much easier to ram though.
