I'm jonesing for a new pistol, I don't know why but I am. I have been very interested in the new Taurus 800 Series. These look like their answer to a Sig. I guess Sig wouldn't license their patent to Taurus the way Beretta and S&W have. I read an article about the new Taurus in The American Rifle a couple of issues ago and I really like the looks of this gun. I am going to look at Beretta as well. I'm either going with a .40 S&W or .45 ACP caliber.

The Taurus is out based on one of the reviews I read. The hammer and the safety are polymer and that's a no go for me. I've been reading up on the Beretta PX4 Storm Fullsize. It's not a very attractive gun but I like what I've read so far. ( How can a company that makes such beautiful shotguns make such an ugly handgun? )

I went with the Beretta PX4 Storm F Model in .40 S&W. I shopped and read and handled the different guns and read reviews and I kept hearing this voice in my ear saying "where's the love haven't I always been good to you?". The whole time my Beretta shotgun was pointing me in the right direction. I read a lot of reviews about the Taurus that indicated quality control issues. I am very satisfied with the Beretta so far.
