Me and a pard whacked a couple mule deer bucks Wednesday evening. I shot mine on the edge of a stubble field at a touch over 400 yards and he made it over the edge into a big draw. I had a good hit on him but he was still able to make it to the bottom and died in a creek. Took me almost an hour to find him. It was a tough job pulling him out of that creek by myself, I estimated his weight at around 300 pounds and I felt every ounce of it. Took some pics and field dressed him and set out in search of my friend to get some help. Just as I made it to the top of the draw I heard a shot 2 quarters over and hoofed it in that direction and sure enough my friend has a buck down. I helped him gut his and we headed for the truck. His was an easy job, we were able to drive within 20 yards of it. Mine wasn't too bad. The land owner made a call to his neighbor and he allowed us access through his property and we were able to get within a quarter mile of my buck. My buck This is where I found him, he was floating. My friends buck
