I've taken a interest in duck hunting, never thought I would but after watching a few videos it looks like it could be pretty fun. Tell me how you all do it....
Thunderstorm, Have you hunted anywhere around here? Any Luck?

You will now have the most expensive hunting addiction known to man. ;D Welcome to the club. Now go get yourself a Lab and start training it for next season.

dont use steel.... If you aint willing to come off the money for the non-toxic lead fakes, dont bother with it...

If you can shoot Kent Faststeel works just fine. Hevi-Shot kills like lead but costs like gold. I use Hevi-Shot when I'm shooting geese but I've gotten my goose technique down and they are usually close and moving slow when I call the shot.

Oh crap. Sorry Nitro, I didn't see this earlier.
I've hunted some strip land area w/ multiple ponds. Most have been drained though.
I use to hunt Fishpond all the time, but it got too aggravating. I've also hunted Carr Fork a few times.
We are not in the best possible location for waterfowl.
Did you hunt any this year?

When you shoot like I do, steel is the only option. I can miss equally with either. I only went a few times this year and there were only a few shots where I swore I hit them and they flew off. I shoot the cheapest steel I can find.
