I always draw my bow a few times when i get to where I'm hunting to make sure nothing is in the way, limbs and such.
Yesterday when I done that on the second draw my release broke and I ended up with a busted lip and two teeth marks from my front teeth on my right hand. Kinda funny I guess, atleast Outlaw thought so.

I have done that a few times. Years ago, I was shooting my bow, and I had a brand spanking new retainer in my mouth to keep my teeth straight. I drew back, anchored like always, and let it rip. The string at full draw was behind the wires in the retainer, and when I released, I thought I lost every tooth in my head. Took a bit, but I found the retainer up by the target.

Watched my nephew do that this year, same thing, mashed his lip and cut his hand on his teeth. I tried to stifle a laugh but couldn't, it was just too damn funny.
