Over the years, I've owned every kind of action they make. These days I'm partial to single-shots and lever actions. The places I rifle hunt normally give me ranges under 200 yards; I own an Ruger #1 Light Sporter in .243 Win. and Browning BLR 81 in 7mm-08. Both have Leupold VX-II scopes in 2X-7X on them. I take them both with me in the event I do something stupid and mess one up. It hasn't happened yet, but considering how bad my luck runs, it's only a matter of time!

I own all actions. I don't guess I'm partial to any particular type. I like my Model 94 in .30-30 if I know I'll be in brush. It's a short gun and fairly light so it's easy to use in brush. If I'm in our food plot, I like the Model 70 bolt in 7mm Rem. Mag. It's a straight shooter and good for very long shots. If it's dark and we're lookin for hogs, I like my AK-47. I can lay down massive amounts of lead in a hurry. And then the Mini-14.......makes a fine pink mist out of turtles and snakes when we are plinkin.
