Last weekend we heard 4, two of em were hot. Called one up and got a shot. Yesterday we heard 0, zero, zilch, nadda. We were on the same ridge as last weekend, weather was exactly the same. The ridge top I listen from I can hear a turkey gobble a mile away in any direction. The only thing we heard was a hen call back at me around 8:30. We went back to that spot later in the morning and set up a cold call but nothing happened. My buddies in the southern part of the state had some luck. It was just the opposite for them, they didn't hear a peep last weekend during the youth hunt but had em singing yesterday morning. Attachments:

You'll bust one the next time out! It has been pretty quiet around here this Spring, hopefully things will pick up by next weekend.

Yeah, it's been very quiet around here. Well, except for all the noise those male turkeys make in the early AM. ;D

Went this morning, heard two and worked one. Had it coming in on a string until a 4 wheeler came thru. It was on the border (maybe a little outside) of my land and the neighbors so I couldn't say anything. He never saw me but had to hear the turkey. He was turkey hunting and go back on his 4 wheeler at 7:00, who knows what he was doing.
