Mom said she heard one a couple weeks ago, but I've not heard the first one yet.

When I was sitting on my stand last weekend I got to thinking back about the day I heard a turkey gobble probably 20 times one sunny morning in late Feb. I kept a sharp ear out but never heard one that day. This weekend is supposed to be in the lower 60's here, I may take a trip up the mountain and give a listen.

No, I haven't been out to listen.
They should be getting after it this weekend.

This nice weather should be getting them fired up.

Heard some more this morning between 6:15 and 6:30.
I will start going out to the places I hunt after the time changes this weekend.

I was out on my lease land yesterday doing prep work for food plots and saw the group of gobblers that I was seeing last fall bowhunting. Only they were missing one....down to 4.
I got just a glimpse of the first one and I think it was the big one in the group. If I get him this spring just send me the check for the biggest bird...he is a brute. ;D
Saw 4 deer as well and for the 3rd trip up there in a row they were being run by dogs. Time for the SSS. Well, minus the middle S. LOL
