Hi Slayer Yea, we have the musky and northern pike but you guys in the south have them big azz cat’s and alligator gar. I would love to catch one of them big gar, all we have are the little long and short nose gar. Hi 4pt Naw, not a 4 pound minnow. Actually a small artificial called a Bucher “Baby Shallow raider” In the late fall into winter(open water) we use 6- 12 inch white suckers as bait. I myself don’t fish live bait that often. We don’t keep the muskies. It takes so long for them to grow this big, it would be a shame to kill one. Sometimes when fishing live bait the muskies will swallow the bait, swallowed bait more than likely means a dead fish. Not Cool. Now dead perch, walleye and crappy = Fish fry. Hey, guys.
