And I couldnt be happier. I have only been in the woods 3 times since I got back from Illinois. I feel like I am about done with serious deer hunting here in SC for a while. I just havent been feeling it for the last few years and am glad I was able to back off and not feel like I was pressured into going.

After Dalton shot that last deer I told him he was done and you would have thought I told him his dog had died. I was never so happy to see a season end in my life. It felt like this season was colder than ever, the mornings came earlier, and every deer shot ran into the deepest ravine on earth.
That said I may muster up the energy to go bowhunt a few more times.

If things around here hadnt fallen apart so much the last couple months I would have tried to get out that way in the last couple weeks. Maybe we could have hunted my Uncle's or something... With what is going on with mom and dad I just didnt have the funds.
