I wont bore yall with a long story, the hunting basically sucked. 6 of us hunted from Wed am until Sunday am and it was as slow as I have ever seen it. I think I saw 8 deer total and killed 2 of them, a 5 pt Friday pm and a doe Sat pm. I hunted all day long Thursday and never saw a deer. I was the only one to score. Dave had a miss but that was it.
Anyway, on with the pics if I can get them to work.
5 pt I shot Friday pm. I had seen him Wednesday afternoon but didn't shoot him. After 2 1/2 days of hunting and nobody had killed one yet I set out Friday afternoon with the sole purpose of killing this deer. He came by at 5:30 and I put a perfect dbl lung shot on him at 25 yds.
Fox I shot Sat. pm. I was hunting a fenceline at the edge of a thicket and a hayfield. I heard a squirrell run up a tree and start going nuts. I saw this guy slipping thru the thicket and he stepped into the only opening I had in the thicket. I shot him thru and thru from shoulder to butt at about 18 yds.
As I was about to get down from my stand at dark I noticed two does easing down the fenceline. They got 35 yds away and turned perfectly broadside and I let the air out of one. She ran back into the thicket and we had a booger of a time finding her but finally had her loaded up about midnight. I forgot to get a picture of her but she was a 2 1/2 yr old doe, probably around 100 lbs.
I'm not sure how these pics will look. They were both taken with my phone.
