Life's been busier than a one-armed paperhanger.
The new kid has kept me plenty busy, my old butt can't keep up anymore. I got my oldest 17 yr old daughter for three weeks this summer and we had a blast. We went camping over the 4th of July, to the Tusla Zoo, and just hung out together. She has always heard me talk about our camping trips and this time she got to experience it for herself (city girl). She caught some fish although she wouldn't touch them, caught crawdads and frogs, made fire, and a whole list of stuff she would have never thought she would do.
I don't know if I told anyone other than DS but I got laid of from work on May 1. I took the opportunity to remodel the house. I'm closing in the garage to make a 4th bedroom, adding a sunroom and larger laundry off the back where the deck is, and extending the roof to a covered patio, also extending the roof in front to make a covered patio.
I got a new smoker and have been smoking buttloads of deer meat. At first I tought it would be dry and tough but I tell ya, that's the only way to cook deer roasts and tenderloins. It is 10X better than beef or pork, almost tastes like prime rib. I think I will turn Dalton loose on em this year so we will have plenty of meat to smoke.
Anyway, there's too much going on to remember. I only hope I don't get a job until after deer season is over.
