Bring on the big game season ;D. Spent a lot of time on load development for my 338 win mag and finally got one I'm happy with. Went through 3 types of bullets and 4 different powders. Settled on a Hornady 225gr Interbond pushed by 72gr of IMR 4350, 2900 fps at the muzzle. It'll shoot 4 shots touching each other at 100 yards and spreads 2 inches at 600 yards, I'll take that Didn't get any draws this year so it'll be over the counter deer and elk tags, 8 deer tags, white tail and mule deer and 1 bull elk tag. Archery opens in 10 days in a zone I hunt up north. The bow is tuned and ready. Sept ninth the zone where I live opens for archery and we've got some really good mule deer bucks scouted out. Then rifle opens up Sept 17 for elk and white tails. Me and my nephew are taking a week at the end of Sept and will try to fill three of the white tail tags we'll each have for that zone. We're still trying to put an elk hunt together in between all this but he may not be able to get away, too much work for him after a bad storm we had about a week ago. He has a roofing company and there was millions of dollars of damage done to houses. Looking forward to another good season.
