Was out all day on Sunday doing some shooting with my nephew and a few friends. I'm developing a new load for my 338 so only got it on paper at 350 yards and it needs improvement. The other guys got into some long range shooting and it was pretty cool to watch them shooting out to 1400 yards with their rigs. My 338, Win. Mod. 70 Classic My good friend Ron and his 338 Lapua Magnum, That's his brothers rifle to his right. Same caliber but highly customized. My nephew with his Rem. 700, 300 RUM A couple closer pics of the 338 Lapuas This is where they were shooting out to 1400 yards.Just to the right of the short tower and out past the small pond. This is a 5/8's thick plate, approx. 24" x 24". The pock marks were from shooting at a closer distance earlier. You can see the splatter marks from the hits from 1400 yards, there are 4 clearly visable and 3 edge strikes.

Dang Blue, 1400 yards? I thought I was the man when I made a 528 yard shot on a coyote.
Now, for a real challenge, do a moving target at 1400 yards. ;D ;D ;D
