Well my nephew finally got to shoot his new 300 RUM on saturday. It's a Rem 700 Police, heavy barrel, topped with a Night Force scope, 5.5 X 22 X 50. It's been bedded, a custom muzzle brake put on and the trigger is pulling at 3 pounds.
I loaded 50 rounds for him, 82gr. H1000 pushing a Hornady 208gr A Max bullet.
We went out late saturday afternoon and got it bore sighted and the first round printed 3 inches high and 2.5 inches right.Adjusted the scope and the second shot printed dead center. The next 2 shots cut the hole from the first shot, made a nice clover leaf of about a quarter inch. I think this gun will be a shooter ;D. We'll step it out next week and see how it looks at 500 yards and I expect it will do good and then we'll go out to a 1000 yards. He's so excited, he's never shot a rifle that shoots like this one.

This package, after the gun smithing and a set of Redding deluxe dies cost him just about 5000 bills . Before he even got the cherry off this one he wanted to turn it into a 338 Lapua AI. I talked him out of it and told him when he needs to rebarrel this one then convert it over. Must be nice to have that kinda money to throw around.
