I been shooting a rem 700 in 22-250 with H-4895 for about 3 years now. Well its a tack driver with 40gr. V-Max bullets but shoots a little slow. 3650fps. I know speed does not kill, accuracy does. So my question is does any of you guys have any good load data using Varget. Im wanting to get it up to 4000fps or faster if i can. Any input would be great.
Thanks Dennis

The Speer loading manual shows a load of 39.0 grains of Varget pushing a 40 grain bullet out at 4090 fps. This is their max load. You can probably bump it up a few grains and just watch for signs of excessive pressure. The test barrel for this load is the Rem. 700.
A 35.5 load of Reloder is moving a 40 grain bullet at 4164 fps.
Hope this helps.
