Picked up my new scope today.Got the Bushnell 6500 Elite,2.5- 16 x 50.Now I'm trying to decide on whether to put on a 20 M.O.A. Picatinny rail or go with a Leupold 20 M.O.A. STD LR single piece base and rings. The Leupold route is cheaper but I'm kinda liking the looks of the rail. Both will take the heavy recoil of the 338. Took the 3200 Elite 0ff the 338 and was going to put it on my 7mm mag but I need new rings for that as the 40mm objective won't clear the barrel.Should've thought of that when I was in town today and could've picked up rings for it . The only thing I achieved was taking the Weaver 4X off the 7 mag and put it on my Ruger 10/22.So after it's all said and done I get to take three rifles out and resight and do some fine tuning, just need the weather to straighten up now,we just got 10 inches of new snow this week .

Good luck Blue. Maybe the "Spring thaw" isn't too far off.

I'm liking it a lot DS. Nice and clear edge to edge even @ 16X. Good positive movement with the crosshairs and seems to be pretty solid. I also like the reset to zero turrets.
Used it on a 625 yard shot on a white tail last season, once I knew the distance I just dialed it up 10 M.O.A., held dead on and pulled the trigger, that deer was DRT.
