I got a Primos Jackpot slate today. Seems that I've lost or traded eveything I had since the last time I turkey hunted. I know that I gave away a great vest that I only used one season.........I must have left everything I had in it!

I haven't even looked to see what I have and what I need this season. I have gotten to where I don't even think about my calls. Give me a Walmart bag and some dry leaves I can kill a turkey. ;D One of the most important things to have in order to kill one is CONFIDENCE. But, I usually have a double or triple stacked Primos mouth call and a slate or aluminum call with me at all times just in case. Less than 2 months now.

I carry 3 or 4 different mouth calls. But one I never go in the woods without is my HS strutt cuttin 2.5. It's a medium raspy call, that you can cut with, or just yelp and putt. I usually carry an Old Boss Hen mouth call, and a Doubble D. I also carry the wing thing for fly downs, I don't use it that much though. And I carry a slate, and an aluminum , and a little scratch box that my F-I-L made me years ago. And always a crow call and an owl call. I like to have plenty of calls. bogobble

On those fly down wing imitator calls try this..... Get you any plastic grocery bag (Kroger used to have brown ones, not sure now). Grab two handfuls and quickly move your hands together and apart. Try for the cadence of a turkey flying down. It works. I learned this at the NWTF convention several years ago from a call maker who obviously didn't market a "wing call". They did say they would be offering a "deluxe" version of this call w/ handles for $10. ;D

Not a bad idea. That's one thing that there's no shortage of around my house!
