I have this posted on several other web sites and thought I would post it over here just for us here in the south. This is a great oppourtunity for anyone interested in learning about tracking dogs or who might be or getting ready to train their own dog to track wounded deer.

The United Blood Trackers is holding a 3 day Blood Tracking Workshop on February 14 16,
2009 near Demopolis, AL. This workshop is for both beginner and advanced dogs and
handlers as well as anyone else just interested in finding out more about the use of Blood
Tracking dogs for the recovery of Wounded Big Game. There will be plenty of hands on
training in the field for dogs and handlers as well as presentations on topics such as Training
Techniques, Working with Puppies and Adolescents, Equipment Choices, GPS Use, and
Working with Hunters. The Workshop Instructors will be UBT Judges; John Jeanneney (NY),
Larry Gohlke. (WI), Andy Bensing (PA), Cheri Faust (WI), and Al Wade (AL). A.J. Niette
(GA) will be speaking about GPS
The United Blood Trackers will offer testing for UBT-AA and UBT-I throughout the weekend
and UBT-II on Monday. Please check www.unitedbloodtrackers.org for more information
about testing requirements. UBT-AA and UBT-I do not require pre-registration. If you would
like to enter a dog for UBT-II, pre-registration is required.

Take I 20/59 Exit 1 Take Hwy 80 North Take I 20/59 Exit 17
20 miles to Hwy 28 9 miles to Hwy 28 Hwy 28 for 12 miles
From Hwy 28 take State Rd 23, Dr Hester Circle. Hwy 23 is appx 1.9 miles from Hwy 80 and appx 12 miles
from Livingston.
Follow St Rd 23 for 10.8 miles to the T, stop sign.
Go left and then a quick right by the Belmont grocery onto Pinetop Rd.
Follow Pinetop approximately 3.2 miles to Trails End Rd.
Go left on Trails end Rd.
Go .9 miles to the camp road on the right.
There will be a Trackfest sign on the road.
Follow main road to the camp no turns.
If you have a GPS punch in the intersection of Pine top Rd and Trails end Rd in Belmont, AL it should get
you there.
