I've only deer hunted twice since mid Oct. But, while eating some deer breakfast sausage this morning I thought I may have to go again. I now have a little room in the freezer.  Man, that sausage is great (and healthy). I have been eating it about 3 times per week. |

I have til Thursday but with school starting back up this week doubt ill go, I kinda got frustrated this year with the hunting here and that burned me out, had I gotten my annual PA trip it would be fine but with school that was a no go.

I'm done. Kinda got frustrated. Didn't get to hunt most of November & all of December (work & family obligations). Besides, the stands I put up at the beginning of the season (& looked like great locations with good sign) turned out to be flops. Will keep 2 of the stands in place & see if some food plots & suplimental feeding can get more activity there. Gonna scout some in February for a couple of other prospects.
Ran dogs with the group only 4 or 5 times. Saw deer all but the last outing. Just not able to shoot (does, spikes, or out of range). Will be talking to the lease holder about adding an extra day during the week to run dogs (only Saturdays & Sundays now) & allowing at least some does to be taken (maybe 1 per membership or kids under 16).
The club has potential. I just need to learn how to hunt it.

I guess I'm done too. I had planned on hunting in the morning but with temps around zero, I think the bed will feel much better........It closes Monday.

We can bowhunt till Feb 28th. I don't know how many more times I'll be able to get out.

I've got one more weekend, I'll be huntin' the 26th & 27th. I hunted Christmas thru New Year's, no luck. They're not on any team (here with me), but there were 5 hunters & 2 of them took 2 bucks each. I won't make any excuses, but I enjoyed the peace & quiet at least. Good luck & good shootin'.

We finished up last Thursday. I went Wednesday and missed a chance at 3-4 year old doe due to gun malfunction.
