I've got one buck tag left and I aint afraid to use it. I took off from work for today and tomorrow. After I drop the kids off at school today I am going to a new place that has big buck potential. Then tomorrow Dalton and I will go back for a 1/2 day hunt, he is out of school.
Hopefully, I'll be checking back in here after lunch all tagged out.

saw 6 deer, 3 bucks.
Had a very, very large bodied buck chase two does below me but I never could get a look at his rack. I should have shot him based on body size, I imagine he was a thumper. I got a glimpse of it and think I saw long tines....not sure. Then a doe walked in behind me and around 2:00 a decent 8 point with good mass came up the hill. He was a little better than the deer I killed Sunday but nothing I was willing to end the season on. When I got back to my 4 wheeler there was a spike bedded beside it...literally, 30 feet beside it.

Oh yeah, and I saw a bobcat. He laid on a rock in the sunshine and groomed himself like a housecat. The squirrels were giving him a hard time.

I hunted a place today that I have wanted to hunt for the last couple years. It takes atleast a hour and twenty minutes steady walking to get there, but this place looks like the deer hunting promise land! Around 3:30 I had contender for the big buck contest run by me with two dogs about 30-40 seconds behind. I should have pulled the trigger on them, but just yelled and turned them in the other direction.
