Happy B-day everyone.
Kodiakhunter, how did you come up with that name? My Mom grew up on Kodiak Island, AK.

Better late, than never. I derived the name, not from the fact that I hunt Kodiak bears, or am from Kodiak Ak. but for many years, I've wanted a Kodiak Double Express rifle, and finally two years ago, I bought one. It's made by Davide Pedersoli of Italy. They are muzzle loaders, SXS double-barreled, and originally produced in .45, .50 & .58 caliber. They have since dropped the .45, and now are .50, .54, .58 & this past couple of years have one in .72 caliber. The one I chose is .54. They are percussion ignition, and the barrels are regulated to bisect at 75 yards. Mine has a 1 in 24" twist, 28" long, and weighs almost 10 1/2 pounds. It has double folding leaf rear sights & post & bead front. It throws a 405 gr. powerbelt bullet like you wouldn't believe. Some day soon (after I eat my Wheaties), I'm going out hog huntin'. Thanks & good shootin' & God-Bless. Wayne.

Nice gun...kinda an odd ball for Alabama. Have you got to hunt anything with it yet? A .54 cal round ball will do wonders for adding venison to the freezer.
