I went to hunt the box stand, to find that a tree had fallen on it since last week, so I had to walk back to the truck for the climber... Didnt see anything this AM, Mike saw a 4pt. This afternoon Mike was blanked and I caught a glimpse of a nice buck he pushed out when going in. It was going down a fence line to me, dont know what happened to it, but it didnt follow it all the way to me...
Dad killed 2 does this AM first time he has hunted in probably 7 years.
Hailey is scouting and hunting on her own for the first time this year and killed a 3pt this AM and a spike this afternoon.

Sounds like Hailey smoked y'all!  Congrats to her. We have a youth rifle season this weekend so I just hunted till dark last night. Saw some real good rubs within range of the stand I was hunting, but nothin showed up. I could hear a lot of acorns dropping higher up on the hill, so I'm guessing/hoping that's where the deer were. |

I dont know that they are really into the acorns much here. We had/have the best crop of muskadines and persimmons Ive ever seen this year...
