COVER YOUR TRAIL IN CATTLE COUNTRY

It's a solid fact that deer aren't spooked by the scent of cattle, so if you're hunting farm land and you want to mask your trail to and from your stand, just step in it. You don't have to get carried away and be in it up to your ankles or anything, just a little on the soles of your boots is plenty and before anybody says "man that's just gross!" How many of you guys have to leave your hunting boots on the porch because they smell like deer pee? It's just cow poop not concrete, it'll come off and it works! And best of all,it's free. as far as descenting the rest of your body, I wouldn't recommend this tactic because "MAN THAT'S JUST GROSS!!!" Y'all have a good one

We do that too. One of the guys I hunt with was telling a guy to do it while they were walking in one AM, a little while later the guy slipped in the wet grass on a slope and rolled all in a few piles trying to get up. The other guy just looked at him and said " I told ya to just put yer boot in it..."
