Me and a pard got drawn for cow elk this year ;D.We'll be hunting down in southern Alberta, damn near on the Montana border and bordering on Waterton Nat'l Park.Took me three years to draw this tag and I'm excited about it.Season opens Sept 03 to Oct 24 for bow or rifle.Got our permission lined up on two big ranches down there and these guys want the elk shot.As an added bonus mule deer and white tail will be open at the same time in this zone for archery.
Didn't draw a bull moose tag though, been six years and I'm probably looking at three more years to get it.

Nitro.there were 399 tags available for that WMU with over 2000 hunters applying for those tags.
Thunder, I could apply for northern Alberta and get drawn every other year for moose but it's a long way to go to hunt country I'm not familiar with.I used to be able to bow hunt them in a WMU within a 2 hour drive, got 2 bulls back to back and then the whole WMU went to a draw.

That's too bad.
Ky's elk draw odds..........400 tags/ over 30,000 applicants.

You're still pretty lucky to get drawn Blue. I wouldn't get pulled for a Ky tag if there was only 401 people applied!
