Cool...thanks. I generally don't enter any "big" contests because I feel it puts too much pressure on some hunters and they may do something unsafe or unethical. But, I figured that would not be a problem here. Any turkey is a good one, and any 2 yr old or better is a great one. I had a great season, most notably letting a good gobbler go by me and watching another hunter down him. Also, sitting beside my wife as she got a nice gobbler. Nothing better than turkey hunting....not even deer hunting.

I have had better stringers this year. I need to take more pics. I let one 25-30# get off at the boat (actually in the net). Oh well, it was fun getting him that close.

Nice bird Thunder. Now its time to fish. ;D Thanks...are you in Michigan or Minnesota? Either way, I'm wanting to get up north for a vacation sometime. But, my MIL lives with us and my wife doesn't like traveling too far anymore. Unfortunately, her brother and sisters don't pull their weight.

Congrats thunderstorm on a great season. The funny think for me is I hunted a field on our farm and I could not get the bird to come in it much. After season I turned the field and planted 2 1/2 acre of WGF Sorghum and i can not keep them out of in now. They are eating it as fast as it is growing.

Thanks. Eating sorgham > eating lead . Good choice for the turkeys. It is always good to leave a couple for next year. I should be down your way next week. Going to the Lake and most likely selling my truck to someone over there. So, a trip to the courthouse in Jamestown for me. I think you are in Russell Co. ?

It looks like a great bear hunting area. We were planning a trip to Manistee, MI this year, but it fell through. Maybe one day.
