I've joined a club in Maddox Missouri to shoot ducks. I have never been able to find both the time and the money together to go get on some real duck hunting on the Mississippi flyway. This year it is going to happen. One of the boys that got in my club this year hooked me up with a hell of a deal. We will be going to Missouri for one Mon.-Thurs hunt and one Fri-Sat hunt. We will get a guide, a place to stay and two meals per day all for $1000.

I've moved away from the major flyway. I've heard reports that it aint like it used to be but that the past two years have been better. Last year was as close to the "good ol days" of Arkansas duck hunting as it has been in the past 15 years.
If you go and the shootin is good, don't waste your shells on woodies and gadwalls, hold out for the greenheads and pintails. I hope it's a good year next year, it will be something you'll never forget.

I had to hide the money from my wife to make this happen and believe me it wasn't easy considering how much I make these days. |
