How much do you pay annually for land to hunt on? Include owned land (bought primarily for hunting), leased (hunt club or private), hunting trips, public land, etc. Also, include if you hunt for free & how you got this privelege.
I paid $750 to join a hunt club last year. The same club this year went to $1000 per year. I am joining another club that is $775 this year.

I hunt mostly public land and private land that is either owned by family, friends or myself, so I'm basically just out license and tag fees plus the gas to go hunt public land somewhere else in the state when I get the itch.
I just can't see myself joining a hunt club around here when the public land is just as good.

I pay the property taxes for the lady that owns our land (860 acres), it usually runs around $1000 but I split it with a couple other guys.

Not a dime,it's illegal here to charge hunters to hunt private property, you either get permission or you don't hunt.
A gov't plan called Open Spaces was going to try and implement a paid hunting scheme but Alberta hunters rallied and it was defeated.

Wow yall are lucky the people around here like to just up the price, they know some dumba$$ with money from ATL will come and pay for it. Which in return hurts the hunters like me who cant pay the high prices, forcing the less fortunate guys and gals to hunt the poor public land or stop hunting all together.

It will $850 at our club this year. As club secretary I have not had to pay the last four years but now I will have to pay to help keep all our land. ITT/Rayonier has broken it off in our a$$ this year. They went $49,000 for a tract we paid $60,000 last year. That's right we will be paying $109,000 for half of our leased land this year. If the DNR wants to save hunting in Georgia for people in Georgia the out of state hunting licenses are going to have to go up, way up! People form Florida are coming to Georgia and paying stupid amounts for leases. Regular folks in Georgia can't come up the money these rich yuppies are paying.

I have been fortunate enough to hunt public land without to much pressure most of my life. For some strange reason several years ago the hunting pressure in my area skyrocketed and everywhere you looked there was an orange coat.I now hunt thousands of acres of land owned by my wife and mother-in -law.It's nice to not have to worry about my portable stands or trail cams being stolen anymore.I feel very lucky to have private hunting grounds as I am strictly a bowhunter.

man, i forget how bad some of you have it. i still hunt the land of a few neighbors and family friends. plus, my family has some land. i can't imagine paying that much just to hunt some one's land. iowa is slowly headed that way, and i fear for the day it gets here
