Ive had this teardrop hoodscoop for years, finally decided to use it. which way yall like it better? This is the way its supposed to go... I think it looks kinda cool like this. Ive never seen one backwards before.

The only problem I could see with the backwards installation is possible crud injestion when splashing through deep stuff.

I doubt Ill cut the hood. I dont need any clearance. I even thought about filling the shell with spray foam insulation and hollowing a little out so you couldnt see it. Figured it would be easier to clean, like I clean anyway....

That makes since to me. For a hood scoop to realize its full potential the carb itself must be enclosed in a box tied to a hood scoop. This really is more for drag racing or such anyway. At the speeds you would be mudding at there would be absolutly no gain from such.

It's a Ford. It goes 'Ford'ward ;D . I've never seen a Ford with a backward scoop. That's a GM thing.
