Trying to figure out what to plant that will draw the deer from Oct - Dec in Southeast Georgia. The soil is sandy & although it's dry right now, it is usually fairly moist. Average high is 80's in October to lo 70's in December. I know I will probably need a blend & will be liming & fertelizing within the month. I'm leaning toward winter peas, turnips, & oats. But, I don't know how these will do for the length of time I'm talking about (most of these are late season).
Any ideas or opinions?

Bro, I don't know about your neck but we planted 7 acres of oats/clover mix at my buddies place and they can't keep the animals out of it long enough for it to grow.

Oats and clover is what we have been doing here. Some people do soybeans, but they die when they get chewed on so you have to plant a WAD of acres of em to still have something to hunt.
