Haven't seen it yet. Heard it was beyond gory. Suprised there have been no threads here about it. Let us know what you thought if you saw it. I would especially love to hear Redoak's perspective.

I haven't seen it and probably wont. Not that I am not interested in the subject as I am, I just don't go to movies. I might watch it on video one of these days. My mother has seen it and she did not find the violence overly done. She was also very impressed with it and is quite knowledgeable on the subject.
Rember we are talking about the Romans here. Lets just say they had a little different outlook on life and such than 21st century politically correct America.
