Ok, so there's this spot on our land that never gets hunted. It's very hard to get to because of two very large and steep ravines that protect it. I have been dying to get in there and hunt it but it just always seemed like so much trouble seeing as how I already have some prime spots. Around the end of August I got a wild hair and decided to go put a feeder and a game camera up there. Today I got the energy up to go get my game camera. I was shocked to say the least..... i16.photobucket.com/albums/b38/mr4pt/game%20camera/bear.jpgi16.photobucket.com/albums/b38/mr4pt/game%20camera/bear2.jpgThe rest of the roll was used up on does, coons, and a few small bucks but the bear was definately a bonus. I have only seen one bear there and that was 15 years ago. For those of you who know bears, whatcha think he weighs? I don't think I'll hunt there unless I want to kill that bear. Hell, I can shoot does and small bucks where I'm hunting now

For reference, that pvc feeder is 4" wide and 6' tall. You can see all but the top 2" in the first pic.

I wish could get pics of one with mine. I've got a neighbor that swears he sees one every week around his place but I've not even seen a track from it.

Yeah, our archery bear season runs from Oct 1 thru Nov, then a short two week gun season.
My idea of bear hunting is stumbling thru the woods during gun deer season and if I see a bear I'll shoot it.

looks to me like he's anywhere from 90-120lbs. keep that feeder full, and he'll be 150 by nappy time. ;D
