Hi Guys,
I'm a new member to this board and this is my first post. I'm sixteen and from Georgia. I started and still hunt with an old salt who lives in the neighborhood and I occasional go with my uncle and somtimes friends. I started on turkey and then became addicted to deer. This upcoming spring will mark 3rd turkey season and I am yet to get a gobbler but i'm praticing calling alot. I busted my first deer this past fall with a rifle after missing two with a bow. Thats my background and i look forward to getting to know some of yall better.

Where are you at and would you like to experience deer hunting with dogs? And if you decide you want to shoot some ducks or geese give me a holler.

Thanks to everyone for such a warm welcome. I live in sandy springs right out side of Atlanta in sandy springs. Hunting deer with dogs sounds like a blast... as for ducks and geese i havent even gotten my toes wet. Thanks again for the warm welcome.

Hello Eddy -
It's nice to see a young sportsman becoming involved in a forum like this. I am sure you will learn a lot from the veterans here, and that you come to find that hunters and fisherman are a pretty strong band of brothers (and sisters).
I have a 10-year-old son who is quickly becoming a better hunter and angler than his old man. He harvested his first turkey last year - a 27 pounder - and enjoys pheasant and dove hunting as well. He also holds a IGFA junior world record for a roosterfish he caught. This year, we'll be taking him on his first whitetail hunt in Missouri, and my fingers are crossed that he'll get a shot.
Good luck to you in your hunting future, and remember to play it safe and smart in the field!
