The little plastic thing on the end a shoe lace on my favorite knocking arond and bird hunting boots came off. You know what happens then. The end of the lace gets frayed and you cant get it through the hole in the boot anymore.
I took a piece of electrical wire shrink wrap and cut a piece 3/4 of an inch. I cut off the frayed end of the shoe lace and threaded the shrink wrap on it. Heat the shrink wrap and viola` shoe lace is good as new.

You can also use electrical tape and you will want to melt it some with a lighter so it dosent come undone.

Do not , I repeat do not git any of that hot plastic or tape on your fingers , dadgum that burns , and it is hard to sling off
