yesterday i went to get my stands and one of my locks wasn't budging so i sprayed some skeeter spray (repel-pump bottle)....wiggled it just a lil bit and a few minutes later the lock opened....don't know how it'd affect the innerds of the lock but at least my stand is home.

i knew it'd get y'all in here. ;D I noticed everyone also jumped right on the "I need a little screw" thread in the muzzleloading forum. Never tried the bug spray but you never know. Spray those locks with a TFE release agent Dry Lubricant once or twice a year and you will never have a problem.

Graphite works well for locks and instead of buying a high dollar tube of the stuff you can just rub a pencile over the key to get the graphite in the pencil lead on the key and then into the lock.
