For an excellent gun rest, use an inexpensive camera tripod. Cut a peice of 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch PVC pipe 4 inches long in half lengthwise (to make a u-shaped cradle). drill a hole in pipe big enough for the bolt part on the tripod to fit through. Find a nut to fit & line with carpet or moskin. This will hold your gun in place & makes a sturdy rest on even unlevel ground. Perfect for kids that have a hard time supporting the weight of a 7-8 poung gun.

Very slick. You need to write a book. I bet you've got a lot more homemade stuff to tell about too, huh?

In high school, my friends said I could make anything with a 2x4, pvc pipe & duct tape. ;D I've added hot glue & silicone sealant since then.
