I've not tried anything other than grouse but I think it would be pretty hard to beat.

Pheasant are awesome but I'm a Georgia boy and around here quail is king. Of course I am quite partial to dove smothered in onion gravy.

You ain't lived till you've eaten a fresh killed ruffie fried in bacon grease till golden brown,sauted onions and mushrooms,pan fried potatos and two eggs any style,I prefer over easy.

I like dove, but I like quail better. Haven't tried pheasant or grouse yet.
