I went dove hunting and shot three times. It was the worst field I ever been in. One bird was shot. There was corn and iron clay peas grown and then bush-hogged in the field but no birds came. I don't know how to explain it. We went and drove some planted pines for deer and that was much more productive. I shot a yearling doe so I didn't come home empty handed.

It's so rare that I get to shoot doves anymore that I go whenever I get a chance. Besides you know I'd rather be shooting a shotgun than a rifle any dy of the week.

That's cool that you go to go, but it's too bad there weren't more birds. I saw so many dove this past weekend and they're out of season. We've got one short second season just after Christmas and I think I'll get after 'em.
