New Jersey Birth Control Program « New Jersey To Implement Deer Birth Control Program MADISON, NJ—Researchers say they plan to test a new type of birth-control drug on a captive deer herd in Morris County, New Jersey, in hopes of finding a way to control the state’s booming deer population. The deer in the study will be injected with a Gonadotropin-releasing hormone called GnRH, which researchers say should make them sterile for 3 to 5 years, possibly longer if the deer is injected a second time. The New Jersey Fish and Game Council has already approved the study, which will be carried out by a Connecticut-based company, White Buffalo Inc. If successful, the drug could be used around the state to curb further crop damages by white-tailed deer and curtail car-deer collisions WHAT'S NEXT'S

As usual, the government is going to screw up the obvious. Let's see...
Pay biologists to impliment a drug that costs money & has to be done again in several years. or
Have hunters pay you to control the deer population.
Tough decision...if you're an idiot!1

Too many left wing yahoos up there. They should look into the method Georgia uses to keep the herd under control. ( The limit is now 12 deer with no more then 2 bucks and one of the bucks must have 4 points on one side.)

I see another waste of taxpayer funds here. They need to up the bag limits & hunt days to control the deer. Tn has a liberal bag limit with up to 12 doe tags available to those who want them. My home state of La allows big limits too & a long season.
