Now that the election is a week away we have a new twist thrown at us. Chief Justice William Rehnquist has undergone surgery for thyroid cancer. This brings a new variable into the picking of which candidate is best for the job. Do you really think we can afford to have a John Kerry appointed supreme court justice? I was ready to vote Libertarian because of my digust with the piss poor job Bush and Rumsfield have done in Iraq (how many tons of explosive came up missing yesterday in Iraq?). But now the issue of supreme court nominations have changed my mind. I would prefer a libertarian appointed justice over a democrat or republican appointee hands down. But I'll not give Kerry any chance by wasting my vote on a candidate that will only get 0.001% of the vote.

I was wondering about that too. I realize that it's a lifetime appointment, but depending on his diagnosis, I'm wondering if he could step down to let Bush appoint a replacement. The guy has cancer bad enough to warrant emergency surgery and he's 80. I'm not planning the funeral or anything, but what do you think the chances are that he'll survive four more years anyway?
That group can really be a loose cannon. We need to stack the deck as much as possible. There's enough Consitution bashing going on as it is.

Please forgive me for falling prey to lying scum media. Apparently this 380 tons of explosives was gone when our boys got to Iraq. We have got to find a way to put these destroyers of democracy out of business. Dan Rather should be brought on charges of treason!

From Fox News' site: And NBC News said one of its reporters was with the 101st Airborne when the unit took control of the weapons installation in southern Iraq, a day after the fall of Saddam, and there were no “powerful explosives” there.
Somehow this news hasn't made it out on all of the media outlets yet. CBS & NBC are running it, but NBC's site says that "Mystery surrounds missing explosives" and forgets to mention the "mystery." Both are running it underneath of the headline that Iraqi PM Allawi is blaming the coalition for the 50 Iraqi soldiers killed by terrorists. ABC is only running the Allawi story and neglects the explosives timeline altogether.
He'll do the same thing he did on the fabricated documents on Bush's Nat'l Guard records and say that CBS was misled.
Freedom of speech will protect them and their lying ways.
