I'm not one to stir people up usually, but a Southern Hunting forum is the last place I would expect to see anti-Bush ad banners at the top of almost every page. Am I missing something? If it were up to Kerry, we wouldn't have the right to hunt or own guns! I just joined the forum because I am an avid Southern hunter, but then I saw the ads after I registered. Who is sponsoring them?

Pale Rider - first of all, welcome to the board.
I'm wondering if what you saw might have been the banners that ProBoards puts up (just below the header) that seem to be "topic sensitive" in that they change to match the text of the post. I've noticed that if I'm reading a post about upland birds, they advertise birdhunting outfitters, etc... I can't tell you who pays for the ads but my guess is that the ads pay for the site. I can understand your revulsion and couldn't be more sympathetic. The down side is that I don't know of anything we can do about it.
Maybe after the little gungrabbing poser gets his tail kicked on 11/02, he'll disappear in the al gore black hole - at least until the next election.
I hope that's all it was because I can assure you that I can't think of a single member of this site who openly supports littlejohn.

The ads are by goooooogle. Since this is a free board & we pay no fee to establish it, the owners (proboards), sells advertising space. We have no control over advertising content.

Welcome to the SHF Pale Rider. I like your thinking but here's the problem. This board and several more are hosted by proboards for free. They have a add free plan that you can pay for and not have the banners at the top but if you'll scroll down to the bottom of the page you will notice that it says "add-free is currently unavailable" so as of right now we cant do much about it. Hopefully after the election we wont have to worry about the banners.  |

Thanks for the greeting. I'm glad to hear yall are not the ones supporting those. It blew my mind when Clinton got elected the first time and even more when he got reelected. So it wouldn't be any big shock to me if Kerry got elected.
It amazes me that even here in Tennessee I'm seeing Kerry/Edwards signs in people's yards. I always thought of Southerners as being intolerant of liberal windbags like Kerry and Ted Kennedy. Times have sure changed.

People are too darn selfish. It's too long since we were attacked. People are more afraid of losing their Social Security than they are of losing their lives to some Islamic whack-job!
All these people see is the scare tactics of Kerry & Edwards.
You're right though, a gay loving, two faced, phony like Kerry would not have gotten a second look here in the south a few years ago.
