I watched the second & third debate. Didn't really expect what they had to say to make a difference in how I would vote.
QUestion is: How much do you think these debates will effect how most people vote?

There could be something to it, or at least the media would have us believe that ol' horseface has closed the gap since the first debate. I'd like to think that we wouldn't choose a president on what the left wing media says or who the media picks as the "winner" of a debate, but there's no accounting for how easily some folks are led around. Quite a slap in the face of democracy that the media can affect an election or that people would be so gullible to let them do it.
I was nervous about this election and then I felt better about Bush's re-election. Now I'm nervous again but I thought W did pretty well for what I saw of last night's debate.

I thought GWB did well last night. I do not like the way that Kerry has to try to slam him on EVERY single issue.
Kerry was talking last night like money grows on trees, and he's going to save the world, and pay off the national deficit like its a simple chore. I am sure he believes in what hes saying, but he sure didnt convince me of it.
I also think their polls are a joke. And that little scale they used that people push a button when they hear something they like or dislike. What kind of crap is that? Is there some kind of scientific knowledge that backs up that scale, and shows that it has ANY accuracy at all?

I've noticed that too. He's full of big plans of things he's going to do but not a word about how much it's all going to cost and where the money is going to come from (i.e. - who's paying the tab on it)
I just hope that others can see through it too.
Did kerry rip his drawers with the comments about Cheney's daughter? He was sure crawfishing on that one today.

I hope that nobody, that hadn't figured out before the debates started who they were going to vote for, goes to the polls. I fact I hope these "undecideds" don't yield any off-spring either. How could anyone vote for that braggert Kerry? I can't stand to even hear him talk. Is that how you pick your candidate? You go for the man that does nothing but bad-mouth his opponent? I guess I'm just as bad though. I can't say much good about old George myself. He has screwed up this deal in Iraq. He won't call these muslims what they really are, devils that want us all dead. He won't say well we miscalculated on the troups needed. He took too many people off the tax roles with his tax cut. He got the federal gov't too involved in my local school district. He created too many new federal jobs and all the benefits they get. BUT I am going to vote for him because the alternative is far worse and besides his an honest person that doesn't say and do whatever it takes to get elected. You know like bringing up his opponents gay daughter during a politcal debate. Oh yeah what in the hell was that question asked for anyway? I'm so sick of them a--holes in the media.

I feel GWB has made some serious mistakes while president, but I admire the man for doing what he believes is right & standing by it. I believe, overall, he has the country's best intrests at heart.
It's easy for a Kerry or Edwards to "Monday morning Quarterback" & say. 'here is my plan'. GWB has had to think on his feet during a huge stock market decline (which Kerry blames wholly on GWB), a devastating terrorist attack, & a tremendous intellegence screwup.
Overall, I think GWB has done a good job considering what he has faced during his presidency. I don't believe Kerry could have stood in GWB's shoes & done near as good a job.
I do feel Kerry believes he has the country's best intrests at heart, but I disagree with his vision & ability to lead this country in a direction I would fell would make it a better place.

I couldn't disagree with you more on this one. This man is a poverty pimp that panders to peoples weakness and sinful side. Kerry preys upon our human nature to take the easy way and does not promote us to achieve more based on our on talents. He would put in place more entitlements for the middle class further increasing our dependance on the federal gov't. While he claims he pay for this by taxing the evil rich (Anybody that believes that is a fool. While they would raise the marginal rates the rich with their CPA's and Tax Lawyers will not pay more to the gov't they will merely pay more to the accountants and lawyers .). I liken the way democrats get votes to the way dope dealers give away free samples to first time customers to get them hooked. Just look at Social Security. Any time any one tries to change that entitlement they Dem's and the people run a round like chicken with their heads cut off.
