This is a pretty long read, but quite an eye opener. A co-worker came in this morning and had heard it on the radio. It ran in the Womens' edition of the Wall Street Journal and apparently the writer was interviewed on MSNBC. Scary as hell and it'll really anger you as to the lengths we'll go to to be sure we're not discriminating against anyone on the airlines. This story is about a supposed terrorist "dry-run" on a flight between Detroit and LA. www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=14249

Kinda scary. I do know this though. There are at least 2 air marshals on all domestic flights. One of my best friends is one. If there was a problem with these arab travelers, nobody would have been given any information. The FBI only responds to media when there was no threat. IMHO, all cockpit doors should be inacessable from the cabin during flight. This would prevent hijackers from using airplanes as missiles.

Discrimination on a plane........should be a phrase never said AGAIN in the lifetime of Hunt4fun1.
Remember, they were not white, or hispanic or black of any nation or Asian.
Call a duck a duck. I have NO problem with selective screening. Lets make sure we select the right race.

BTW, if I had suspected ANYTHING odd like this before the plane took off, I would have gotten off it.

We locked up all the Japanese Americans during WWII to protect our country. Why can't we do that again until these muslims get their people under control or rat he bad ones out to us?

Because we're still really good at beating ourselves up over locking up the Japanese in WWII.
Israel's got airline security done the right way. I don't remember hearing about any of their planes going places other than the intended destination lately.
If they don't like the way you look, you're not boarding the plane. To hell with "discrimination." If only we had the balls to do it that way.
It's kinda like the "rules of engagement" that only apply to us. Probably a topic for another post.

Yeah, we are the only ones that play by any rules. We are so worried about offending someone we leave ourselves wide open for attack by those that don't care about our feelings.
