It was a long weekend here,so me and a freind took off for a few days of fishing.Fishing was awesome,we caught over 40 rainbow trout, most averaged 12 to 14 inches with a couple going 18 inches.Weather was great, only had one shower that lased all of 15 minutes.Unfortunely there's a fire ban on,so we couldn't have a fire. There's a big forest fire burning up where we were. Got up saturday morning and I noticed a bunch of mud on buddies truck up by the window of the topper. On further investigation we saw that there were big muddy paw prints there and some scratches around the window.Seems a bear wanted to know what was in the truck,(our coolers).Never did see it,but it left sign everywhere. What I can't believe is our 3 big bad huntin dogs never even knew it was there, both of mine were in kennels outside.Probably hiding under their covers ;D ,hoping the bear wouldn't see em. We had a really mild winter and it was kind to the deer, there's one hell of a fawn crop this spring.Every doe we saw was totin twin skippers.Saw two bucks already sporting over a foot of new antler growth and branching. Only bad thing on this trip is some useless excuse for a human being broke into my trailer and stole a brand new lantern and my propane stove and axe and a few other misc. items.

Sounds like a fine outing Blue......We've had bear within hearing distance of camp but I don't recall one ever trying to get in the truck! Sorry about the scum breaking into your trailer, hope you can find out who did it. I promise not to tell a single person if you do.

America and Canada need to do like the less civilized countries and cut off hands for stealing.
