I am Dave1, a 54 year old southern white boy. I live in Winter Springs, was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and learned to hunt from my dad at a real young age. Lived and hunted in Oklahoma for a while then moved to Fla in 1959. Been in Central Fla/Orl area most of that time.

Have hunted since I was old enough to carry a gun. I used to run airboats, bought my first hog dog in 1972 (a Pitt/English cross) and caught more hogs with that dog than I could count. Have hunted and trapped hogs, gators, deer, and others ever since. I used to do alot of scuba diving, lobster hunting, and spear fishing but getting too lazy now a days and haven't been offshore in a while.

Presently I am a Florida state licensed feral wild hog trapper agent but my day job is a Network Engineer for one of the telephone companies. In the early season I deer hunt alot with bow, muzz, and a Contender handgun but I hog hunt all year long. I catch quite a few hogs every year, but release most alive.

I love the woods and go there often. Being in the outdoors and hunting is my passion.
