The guy across the road has cancer in both lungs. He started with Alzheimer's last year, it isnt real bad yet... Ive always been pretty close with him. His wife hasnt told him yet. She said the way it looks they probably wont try to treat it.
When my Grandpa on Dads side was alive they were best friends, so as far back as I have a memory he has been there.
Both of my Grandpas died the same year. After the the 2nd funeral He hugged me and said "Hell, I guess Ill have to be your grandpa now. As far as Im concerned he always has been....
I feel bad cause when my Mom's Dad died I never cried, but this has had me torn up.
