the other day hm's hounddog brandee escaped from the backyard...she was my hounddoggies older sister....usually she's spends the day roaming and comes back at nite...first nite went by and nothing, second nite came and went and then yesterday while hm and toby were hanging up flyers she got the call that brandee had been hit by a car the nite before and had to be put to sleep because she was so bad off. they said they tried callin' the # on her collar but if they ad they would have reached hm. then the guy from the humane society proceeded to tell hm how bad off she was and went into detail...ie-her eyes were just dangling...etc. which i find to be TOTALLY unprofessional....i'm sorry but when you've got a hysterical woman on the phone you don't make it worse. and trust me when i say she was hysterical. hm's hubby went and got her and they buried her yesterday...wrapped her in a deer hide. sad thing is she was only a few roads away from home. so if y'all would say a lil prayer for brandee it'd be greatly appreciated. she will be greatly missed....

Huntnma and Brandee are both in my and Ian's prayers. Started crying myself when I read the news. As this was a request from Huntnma I am going to post it here too. Hugs to all of you from the two of us. I know that Brandee will be sorely missed by all of you. Ya have my number if ya need to talk. Sorry I got to this late...... Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge...
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them. Someone they had to be leave behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted! When you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge to Heaven, together....
